Happy Holidays Bulletin Board

These were too cute not to do this year! They thought it was pretty cool to become Rudolph. : ) What better way to share the cuteness then to make it our bulletin board in the hallway wishing everyone a Happy Holidays!

Gobble...Gobble...Gobble...

We made these turkeys today to hang from our ceiling to start decorating our room for the Thanksgiving holiday. The kids love them and had fun making them! I always know when they really like something we have made because they ask with excitement, "Do we get to take this home today!?" : )

Happy Fall Y'all!

Here is our fall bulletin board! We made scarecrows to go along with our poem of the week "I'm a Little Scarecrow." It can be sung to the tune of "I'm a Little Teapot."

I’m a little scarecrow
Stuffed with hay.
When I see a crow
I like to shout:
“Hey, Mr. Crow, you’d better get out!”

Mat Man

I introduced the children to Mat Man today and they absolutely loved him! Our Handwriting Without Tears program uses him to introduce the children to the wood pieces they will be using as a manipulative to build letters (there are long and short sticks and small and big curved sticks). Check out the Handwriting Without Tears website for an online interactive game where the kids can put Mat Man together! The link is  http://www.hwtears.com/hwt/learning-lounge/mat-man-world/build-mat-man/online-game. You can also access the game from our blog homepage under Educational Games. Enjoy!
