Valentine's Bulletin Board
Here is the awesome bulletin board the office put up for the upcoming holiday! We have been getting into doing random acts of kindess as a school!
Just Chillin' in Kindergarten
We turned ourselves into snowmen for our winter bulletin board! The kids loved it!
Here is the one K-1 staff put up on the first floor.
Christmas Bulletin Boards
I am getting our past bulletin boards up quite late but here they are! The kids loved decorating their own ornaments, in which I put a picture of them on, and helping make the chain-link Christmas tree!
Below is a bulletin board we put up on the first floor using the kids' hand prints in kindergarten and first grade.

Groovy March is Reading Month Bulletin Board
Our theme for March is Reading Month this year was Feelin' Groovy! The kids thought it was cool to have their pictures create a peace sign. We also included some pictures of the covers of some of our recent favorite books! Its a little blurry but the sign says "Keep Calm and Read a Groovy Book!"
Spring Bulletin Board
We loved making colorful, three-dimensional butterflies! Greay way to add some spring cheer to our hallway!

Fall Bulletin Board Fun!
This one is located in our entrance way to the school. : )
We made scarecrows and Indian corn to decorate the bulletin board outside our classroom.
We thought this would be a great way to honor our Veterans!

Look how many books we read in March!
I am uploading the picture a month late, I know, but it is pretty amazing how many books we read during the month of March! Each chili pepper above a student's fiesta boy or girl equals 5 books read!

Fiesta!
Our March is Reading Month theme is fiesta this year so we are spicing things up for the month! Here is a picture of the bulletin board outside of the classroom. We are showcasing the book Chicks & Salsa!
We will be having many incentives during the month to encourage reading!
§ Whitecaps
Baseball Reading Club Ticket
Your child can earn
two free tickets to a Whitecaps baseball game in the spring! For every 15
minutes read, parents need to initial a baseball spot on the ticket. This
ticket can stay at home or be kept in your child’s Here and There Folder until
completed and then it needs to be returned to me. I will send tickets home as
soon as we get them.
§ How many
books can you read?
I would also
like you to keep their book log sheets in their folders this month because for
every five books they read, they will get to add a chili pepper above their fiesta
boy or girl. If you fill up all the spaces on the front of the book log, you
may continue logging books read on the back of the sheet or on an additional
piece of paper. I will cross the books off as I count them.
So….since
there are so many different reading incentives going on, you may count books
for all three of them! For example, one book can be written down on the book
log, counted as part of the 15 minutes read for the Whitecaps Baseball Reading,
and will count towards the five books read to add a chili pepper above your
child’s fiesta boy or girl. Please support and encourage your child to take
part in these great reading incentives!

Seuss’s Birthday March 3rd
